About The Position

You will be a critical team member in Lyra’s growing legal team to support internal stakeholders in fulfilling Lyra’s mission to bring mental and emotional health solutions to large employers across the country. You will be expected to work independently in preparing the first draft of contracts, drafting amendments, reviewing incoming contracts, and working with internal stakeholders to resolve questions and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will be an experienced paralegal or contract administrator with a proactive nature in identifying issues and presenting solutions and someone who is searching for a collaborative environment brimming with novel questions. The legal team plays an essential role at the company, responding and managing all legal questions, and candidates with all around experience are welcome to help support the various needs of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years legal experience in-house in a contracts focused role
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and editing a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, SOWs, Service Agreements, data sharing agreements, BAAs, and vendor contracts.
  • Experience leading projects, including collecting, distilling and summarizing issues from relevant stakeholders and moving projects forward
  • Willing and eager to take on new areas of law and function independently in a demanding fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think quickly on your feet, convey grace under pressure, and simultaneously manage workloads, multiple client demands and shifting priorities
  • Detail-oriented, organized problem solver with the ability to take the initiative to drive strategic and tactical objectives, shift between tasks/projects as needed, and independently drive projects to completion
  • Exceptional customer service, listening and collaboration skills, and a demonstrated ability to navigate difficult or sensitive issues and multiple partners
  • Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude to the workplace
  • Sense of humor

  • Experience working in-house with a technology company and/or health care organization strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the commercial contracting team and other business stakeholders to support the deal process, ensuring compliant and efficient contracting workflow
  • Prepare, draft, and review commercial sales contracts based on approved business guidelines
  • Help assign and distribute work to attorneys and contracts specialists including any background information they need for their review
  • Initial review of terms for customer agreements, license agreements, partnership agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, vendor and Saas agreements, data security agreements, requests for proposals (RFPs) and other documents; when appropriate, collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to define/drive discussions with clients and prospects
  • Coordinate with the Legal Ops team to set up CLM workflows and contract templates
  • Collaborate and build cross-functional relationships with business stakeholders at all levels of the company
