About The Position

As a Paraeducator at Green Tree School & Services, you will support classroom instruction and provide individualized assistance to students with emotional and behavioral needs. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and behavior staff to promote academic progress, positive social skills, and a safe, structured learning environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher, or completion of at least two years of postsecondary study
• Experience supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or crisis situations
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following all student support plans

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by assisting with lessons, small group work, and daily activities
• Reinforce student learning through guided practice and behavioral supports
• Help implement IEP goals under teacher supervision and collect instructional or behavioral data
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized classroom environment that supports learning for all
