About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Panelboard Sr Associate - Aftermarket. Schedule for the role will be Monday-Thursday and hours are 3:00pm-1:00am. The hourly rate for this position is $17.68 per hour. This position is eligible for the employee variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Eaton's Commercial Products and Assemblies division is currently seeking a Senior Production Associate Aftermarket, Panelboard Assembly to join our team. This position is based out of our Sumter, SC facility. In this role, you will work with the Supervisor to drive results on key metrics including safety, quality, delivery and productivity in the absence of the Team Leader. You will provide leadership by promoting teamwork, training others and providing proactive resolution to production needs. This position impacts OEM/ Aftermarket Sales volumes by supporting outbound shipments of components and/or products to support end customer needs. Positions also maintains inventories controlled in Aftermarket storeroom locations. No relocation benefit is offered for this position.

Requirements

  • Min. 1 year assembly experience
  • Working knowledge & understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Experience operating hand tools/gauges
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
  • More advanced computer skills to include Excel, Word, DMM, AS400, Mapics,Vista, & Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Leader/Supervisor in working with the manufacturing team to ensure that customer orders are executed in a timely and efficient manner and that the most urgent orders are fulfilled first.
  • Review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation, to include selecting, preparing and updating paperwork and schedules both on paper and computer.
  • Communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production and promote teamwork across departments.
  • Utilize computer to resolve all errors by research and auditing of transactions.
  • Work on projects and special assignments as required. Initiative to be a self-starter and accomplish all tasks.
  • Receive, document, store, stage and issue all job-related material to satisfy production requirements.
  • Support customer service requirements to include maintaining acceptable OTP and quick ships as necessary.
  • Package, create and band equipment, parts, materials, products and accessories to minimize damage during shipment or staging and to create a safe work environment. Apply labels, stickers, and stencils as required for identification and ease of storage or shipping.
