About The Position

The Sr. Manager of Aftermarket Marketing – U.S. & Canada will be the head of Aftermarket Marketing within the U.S. and Canada and is a key strategic leadership role within the Americas Automotive Aftermarket organization. This position reports to the Director of Product Marketing & Pricing for U.S. & Canada and will be responsible for shaping the growth strategies for the U.S. and Canadian aftermarket brands of WIX, Purolator, MANN-FILTER, and other private labels. This Marketing leader will oversee the Marketing Managers, Packaging, Category Management/Insights team, Trade Marketing, and Marketing Support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing and brand management, executing strategic marketing plans designed for business growth
  • Team leadership / management experience with brand marketing, trade management, category management, and external agencies
  • Digital marketing & social media marketing experience
  • Vast experience in advertisment (TV, Radio, Magazines, Print Collateral, Trade Shows)
  • Marketing experience working in a variety of B2B / B2C and ecommerce environments
  • Previous experience working within a matrix organization in a global setting with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills, at all levels of the organization and with customers
  • Track record of developing, executing, and achieving tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impacts global business plans, operating profits, practices, policies, and procedures
  • Strong budget, execution, and project management skills
  • Proven team leader
  • Must be analytical and digital saavy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • MBA degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in the automotive or automotive aftermarket business
  • Multi-lingual English /Spanish skills

Responsibilities

  • Define brand positioning and growth strategies along with the VP of Global Marketing
  • Drive development of customer and consumer insights to build growth strategies and innovation pipeline
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans and budgets based on established company objectives and manage that budget throughout the calendar year
  • Perform within budget while achieving key performance indicators
  • Build a strong working relationship with field sales professionals, customer headquarter contacts, distributors, and store owners
  • Drive profitable demand for brands and branded programs by evaluating market trends, our product portfolio and developing tools to educate the customer and sales team on trends that will affect current and future growth of sales and profitability
  • Ensure activities which allow profitable business growth with the right return on the marketing investment
  • Maximize impact of brand advertising activities to include brand position, strategy, sponsorships, licensing agreements, contracts, mobile marketing, and hospitality assets
  • Build an innovation pipeline following the innovation funnel process
