Mileage Reimbursement: Company car or mileage reimbursement available What you’ll do as a Palliative Registered Nurse: Symptom Management: Palliative care nurses are experts in managing pain, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, and other symptoms associated with serious illnesses. Develop and implement care plans, and medication management to alleviate discomfort Care coordination and education: Palliative care nurses coordinate care among various healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and treatment. They educate patients and families about their illness, treatment options, and what to expect as the illness progresses. Who you are as a Palliative Registered Nurse: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in sensitive situations. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered, truly listening to understand patient and family needs. Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and provide personalized care. Resilient and emotionally stable, with strong self-care practices. A minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, or a related field like ICU, geriatrics, or oncology.
