Your life as a Palliative Care Clinic Medical Assistant You'll be a steady, compassionate first point of contact for patients and families across Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack, Montague, and Young counties. Day to day you will: Answer and triage incoming calls; take clear messages and route to providers. Gather needed information and coordinate with the provider/pharmacy. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm clinic and telehealth appointments to keep the day running smoothly. Support providers with chart prep, vitals on clinic days, EMR documentation, orders, and follow-ups. Coordinate referrals, records, and communication with outside offices. Keep the front office flow welcoming, organized, and efficient. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 . On rare occasions, you may help with after-hours coordination if others are unavailable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS/CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • EMR proficiency; strong phone etiquette and written documentation skills.
  • Warm, professional communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in palliative care, hospice, primary care, or specialty clinic is a plus.
