APRN will be expected provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, perform procedures, and prescribe medicines and treatments. The APRN will also manage health issues for patients, independently or in collaboration with the designated physicians. The APRN will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patient's health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The APRN will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.
