POSITION SUMMARY: To stack product using the appropriate patterns, to get product into freezer.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Stack product on pallets by product code,layer count, and pattern. Make sure all boxes have tape and code on them if not re-route back to packing room.
Employee is reponsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaing) Good Manufacuring Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs.
Must be able to manually load in a count stocking method on pallets and shrink wrap all cases of frozen product coming from the packing room.
Must be capable of maintaining neat, clean and safe work area.
Must be capable of keeping work area supplied with pallets, pallet pads and other supplies needed in performing job requirements.
Must have knowledge of basic math skills.
Must be capable of withstanding temperatures in freezer areas of up to -10 degrees Fahrenheit wearing company provided insulated clothing.
Must be capable of standing on your feet for periods of up to and beyond 8 hours per shift, with the exceptions of breaks or lunches and maintain an acceptable pace of operations.
Must be able to reach above shoulder level.
Must be able to carry 50lbs. Cases.
Must be capable of interfacing with managers and other personnel and be able to communicate and understand effectively.
It is required that the employee will fulfill any other jobs assigned by a supervisor but which are not stated in this description.
In the event of absence the Distribution Foreman or other trained palletizers will cover.
