About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Painting Sales / Estimating Manager to oversee sales development and project estimating operations within a growing painting division. This role combines technical estimating expertise with client relationship management and leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in commercial and residential painting projects, strong bid development capabilities, and the ability to convert opportunities into profitable work. This position plays a key role in expanding market presence while ensuring accurate project forecasting and cost control.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in painting sales, estimating, or related project management roles
Strong understanding of painting systems, materials, application methods, and industry standards
Ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client engagement skills
Strong organizational abilities with attention to financial detail
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
Valid driver’s license for site visits and client meetings

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed site evaluations to determine project scope, surface conditions, and technical requirements
Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and project timelines
Prepare and submit competitive proposals tailored to client specifications
Build and maintain long-term relationships with property owners, contractors, and design professionals
Partner with operations and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans
Supervise, coach, and mentor junior estimators or sales personnel when applicable
Monitor budgets, margins, and project profitability metrics
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic sales planning initiatives
