Job Title: Painter Location: Kissimmee, FL FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt Job Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and repairing cracks. • Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, furniture, and other surfaces as needed. • Match paint colors and finishes to existing surfaces for seamless repairs. • Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring proper storage and inventory of supplies. • Protect all adjacent areas and hotel property during painting projects to avoid damage. • Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. • Assist in preventive maintenance projects to ensure hotel facilities remain in top condition. • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. • Work collaboratively with the Engineering/Maintenance team to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests. • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, ensuring the assigned uniform is clean, pressed, and complete with the required nametag. • Attend all required meetings and trainings. • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs. • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards. QualificationsQualifications/Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience, preferably in a hospitality, commercial, or residential setting. Knowledge of various paints, finishes, and application techniques. Ability to safely operate painting tools, equipment, and materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. May require working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Flexible schedule availbility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on hotel needs. As a condition of employment, this position will require driving a company vehicle. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
