Painter
About The Position
Our client is seeking a Painter to support a welding and fabrication shop. This role is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing welded metal parts and assemblies. Prior industrial or shop painting experience is a plus, but not required. A day in the life of a Painter · Prepare metal parts and welded assemblies for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking) · Apply paint and coatings using spray equipment or other tools as instructed · Ensure proper coverage and finish quality per specifications · Allow proper drying and curing time before handling parts · Perform visual inspections for quality and consistency · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint/work area · Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and ventilation requirements · Assist with general shop or helper duties as needed
Requirements
- Prior painting or shop experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable working in a production or shop environment
- HS Diploma or GED plus relative experience
