About The Position
Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, filling cracks/holes with putty or plaster, and removing old paint. Application: Applying paint, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Jobsite Protection: Covering furniture, floors, and surfaces with tarps and tape to prevent splatters. Safety and Maintenance: Setting up scaffolding and ladders, following safety protocols, and cleaning tools and equipment. Material Selection: Selecting and mixing appropriate paints, primers, and varnishes to meet client specifications.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential or commercial painting, typically 2+ years.
- Stamina, physical strength, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and comfort working at heights.
- Knowledge of painting tools, color theory, and surface preparation techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred.
