Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver's License
• This position is required to drive a company vehicle and must meet the requirements of UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Plant Operations Director or designated Supervisor, duties of the Painter include, but are not limited to; painting, varnishing, stains, enamels, lacquers and redecorates walls, woodwork and fixtures.
• Mixes paint and matches colors; uses brushes, sprayers or rollers to apply paint or other coatings.
• Removes old finish using scraper, chemical compounds or blowtorch.
• Fills nail holes, joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler.
• Replaces door or window glass.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Estimates time and material costs on painting and redecorating projects.
• Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment.
• Must be able to work independently days, nights and weekends as needed.
