About The Position

As a Painter, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces throughout the property, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and logged appropriately. Your role includes operating various tools and equipment, preparing surfaces, applying paint and wall coverings, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• 3+ years of prior relevant experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment required
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays required

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience painting, wallpapering and applying faux finishes preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces and systems throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
• Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventional and/or airless spray equipment as required
• Prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to proper color as necessary, patch, tape and texture and acoustic as necessary
• Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Keep informed and updated on current technical methods
• Advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
• Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
• Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
