About The Position

Candidates Must Be Able to Learn to: Perform all lower level and level I duties with assistance. Moves controls to maintain temperature, flow, and composition of liquid. Turn equipment on and off and clean as required. Paints all materials with guidance from higher level painters. Prime tanks and work paint line with guidance from higher level painters. Dip articles in liquid. Load and unload the paint line. Train on the usage of the thinner recovery system. Operate the overhead crane under the supervision of higher level painters with assistance. Prep all materials and parts prior to painting to include: sanding, chipping, tapping, etc. with guidance from higher level painters. Use of spray guns and spray pot--with assistance--Fill pressure pots with the right mixture of paint forthe component that requires painting. Remove excess coating. Adds coating solution according to test results or specifications under the guidance of higher level painters. Complete all necessary DIRS and paperwork under the supervision of higher level painters. Report any unusual or faulty condition to a supervisor, Level IV, or Level V. Operate high pressure water cleaning equipment to clean grease and other materials off of transformers under guidance of higher levels. Train on the maintenance and upkeep of painting equipment and personal protective equipment. Train and inspect with assistance Clean paint guns daily. Change filters and clean paint booth on a regular timely basis. Complete other duties assigned by a supervisor, Level IV, or Level V. Good attendance Train all lower level employees
