Ginger Cove, a premier continuing care retirement community, is seeking a skilled Painter/Maintenance Technician to help maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of our campus. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that resident apartments, common spaces, and building systems remain in excellent condition. What You'll Do: As a Painter/Maintenance Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining our campus by:

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of professional painting experience
Valid Maryland Driver’s License
Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipmen
General maintenance skills including drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenanc
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Excellent customer service skills
Genuine respect and compassion when interacting with older adults

Responsibilities

Repair drywall including patching, finishing, and painting.
Repaint and refresh vacated apartments to prepare them for new residents.
Maintain the appearance of interior walls, ceilings, and surfaces throughout the community.
Perform touch-ups and cosmetic repairs in common areas, offices, and resident rooms.
Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural maintenance tasks.
Complete assigned work orders and maintenance projects in a timely manner.
Conduct inspections of assigned areas and report maintenance concerns.
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies according to manufacturer guidelines.
Follow all safety procedures including emergency preparedness and fire safety protocols.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies (approximately once per month).
Work respectfully and professionally with residents, visitors, and staff.
Provide excellent service while working throughout the community.
