About The Position

This position is responsible for performing skilled painting and surface
finishing work throughout Connecticut Children’s facilities under the
supervision of the Facilities Manager. Duties include preparing, finishing, and
maintaining interior and exterior surfaces using paint, wall coverings, and
protective coatings; performing drywall installation and finishing; and
operating trade-specific equipment. The role also includes estimating materials
and labor, coordinating with other trades, and responding promptly to work
orders and service calls.
Work is performed in a hospital environment where timely responses and a high
standard of customer service are essential. This position directly impacts
patients, visitors, and staff by helping maintain a clean, safe, and visually
appealing environment.
