About The Position

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • High level of manual dexterity and detail oriented
  • Possess the ability to visually recognize and identify different colors
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or experience working in a production painting facility is preferred
  • Computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare surfaces as specified to be contamination free
  • Inspection prior to painting for parts or components needing repaired
  • Read and comprehend documents such as work orders, standard work, and specific customer specifications to complete work error free
  • Apply basecoat and/or clearcoat with manual spray gun
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Able to work effectively wearing protective respiratory equipment
  • Monitors equipment used to mix and deliver coating materials to ensure consistency and quality
  • Safely manage and dispose of hazardous material
  • Record paint mix in process control sheets
  • Use principles of 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work to eliminate waste
  • Perform essential cleaning of paint equipment as needed
