About The Position

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As a point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living. The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Paint Department.

Requirements

  • Must be team oriented, interactive, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow daily work assignments.
  • Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have forklift experience to load/unload paint barrels to and from storage.
  • Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for color pour downs to ensure the color is correct when sprayed on parts.
  • Responsible for changing the paint filters.
  • Responsible for removing waste and disposing of it properly from paint line area.
  • Work with Finish Materials Buyer/Coordinator to keep track of paint inventory.
  • Periodically check the pumps and agitators all along the paint lines.
  • Keep stain bottles filled for production.
  • Responsible for flushing paint lines according to schedule.
  • Keep topcoat and sealer at recommended levels for production.
  • Responsible for sticking bulk tanks every 2nd day.
  • Keep a minimum of 300 gallons in the bulk tanks.
  • Responsible for removing rags and combustible material and storing in the proper containers.
  • Responsible for keeping the drums and buckets crushed for disposal.
  • Clean dock and monitor and haul waste to proper locations.
  • Monitor communication boards to ensure job duties are complete.
  • Ensure all paint containers are closed and labeled.
