About The Position

Paint Prep Technician Join our dynamic, fast-paced and growing automotive repair shop as an experienced Paint Technician. Key Responsibilities: - Sand and prep vehicles for painting, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for primer and paint application - Tape and bag vehicles to protect areas not being painted - Prepare and prime vehicles as part of the painting process - Work on large vehicles, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse and challenging projects - Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 1+ year of experience in vehicle prep, taping, bagging, and priming - Ability to work on large vehicles with precision and attention to detail - Previous painting experience is a plus but not required - Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure - Flexibility to work extra hours as needed - Ambition to develop into a painter role is preferred - Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude We foster a supportive and growth-oriented culture, offering competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements (flat rate or hourly based on experience), and potential sign-on bonuses for qualified candidates. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in vehicle prep, taping, bagging, and priming
  • Ability to work on large vehicles with precision and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Flexibility to work extra hours as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
  • Minimum of 1+ year experience, this is not an entry level position.
  • Ability to work on larger vehicles such as F550's, utility bodies & work on ladders and similar as needed.
  • Ability to prep and prime vehicles with minimal direction or teaching. Primer time mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn from fellow professionals/teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous painting experience is a plus but not required
  • Ambition to develop into a painter role is preferred
  • Ambition to become a painter is a plus, as you will have the opportunity as we expand & grow.
  • Paint experience is not required but is a plus. You will gain additional experience through gun & booth time.
