About The Position

Aquatix, with over 30 years of water experience, is a leader in water feature and spray park design, fabrication, and construction. They pioneered integrated recirculation systems, offering sustainable solutions for innovative water activities without consumption limits. Aquatix has joined forces with Landscape Structures Inc., a leading playground equipment manufacturer, to apply their design and innovation to new water experiences. The Paint Prep Technician's role is to prepare all pieces and products for paint while maintaining a high-quality standard.

Requirements

Able to prepare products for paint application.
Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout the shift.
Able to sand and finish the product before painting.
1+ years experience required
Basic computer knowledge.
Experienced with hand tools and sanding devices.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in auto body paint preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares products by doing light bodywork, sanding, blocking, filing, and priming
Assists Lead Painter in preparing products for paint
Places products for painting on movable platforms
Moves and stages painted products in the drying room
Responsible for overseeing paint and prep material inventory
Keeps work area clean and organized
Communicate ideas and issues in a timely manner.
Ensure high-quality standards.
Work in a team-orientated manner.
Inspect refurbished materials, assess conditions, and make recommendations for future improvements.
