About The Position
As a Paint Helper at Custom Air Products & Services, Inc., you will work within our prep sanding area, providing invaluable support to our painters. Your role involves assisting with various tasks such as holding or supplying tools and materials, as well as maintaining cleanliness in work areas and equipment. This position is crucial to ensuring the seamless execution of painting projects.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working in a paint shop, with proficiency in taping, caulking, and sanding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Caulk units in preparation for painting to ensure a smooth finish.
- Utilize masking tape to cover surfaces that will not be painted, facilitating a precise painting process.
- Remove existing paint and utilize epoxy compounds, putty, or other filling materials to repair surfaces as needed.
- Safely operate sanders and ladders to prepare surfaces for painting.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas and equipment, ensuring they are free from paint stains and debris.
- Provide assistance to painters as required, contributing to overall project efficiency and success.
