You will partner with community physical therapists, and psychologists in the region as well as telehealth providers throughout the Intermountain enterprise. The goal for this physician is to help Intermountain Healthcare patients and Washington County community members to live the healthiest lives possible. Our pain management team uses state-of-the-art techniques, advanced procedures, and innovative therapies to design treatment plans that are customized to our patients’ specific needs and address the full continuum of care. The ideal candidate for this position will be committed to an interdisciplinary approach to providing care and will be an engaged, innovative team member. Practice Information Intermountain Healthcare is looking for a board certified/eligible PM&R & Pain Medicine physician to join the St. George Pain Management team located in St. George, UT. Additional locations, including Cedar City Utah and Mesquite NV, are in the planning stages and are potential sites to practice in the near future.

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in PM&R & Pain Medicine
  • ACGME fellowship-trained in pain medicine
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities will include evaluation and treatment of patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal, spine, joint, and other pain conditions (This includes abdominal, pelvic, and fibromyalgia pain)
  • Primary Responsibilities will include evaluation of new and follow-up patients (including those already established with both clinics) and telehealth appointments
  • Medication management and education including opioid medication management
  • The physician will be expected to work 4-5 days per week including Fridays
  • Physician will have ready access to diagnostic equipment and dedicated support staff
