We are seeking an outstanding anesthesiologist and fellowship trained pain medicine physician to join the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. This position is full-time Pain Medicine practice at the Arnold Warfield Pain Center and our neighboring community site. The Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at BIDMC provides leading-edge anesthesia services for more than 40,000 cases per year including neurosurgery, major vascular, thoracic, cardiac, solid organ transplant, ambulatory, and obstetric anesthesia. In addition, the Department has a substantial role in critical care, pain medicine and experience in treating cancer related pain patients. The Arnold-Warfield Pain Center is the primary site for Pain Medicine at BIDMC. The center supports the education and training for our top-notch Pain fellowship and residency programs and collaborates with Boston Children’s Hospital for additional training. The BIDMC Pain Network consists of the William Arnold - Carol A. Warfield Pain Center and additional sites located around Boston, including the Chestnut Hill Square facility, Chelsea, BID-Milton, BID-Needham, BID-Plymouth. We also work closely with primary care physicians to ensure we address their concerns about their patients, including opioid consultations. Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at BIDMC is located in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston, and is affiliated with Harvard Medical School (HMS). Academic appointments as Lecturer, Instructor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor are commensurate with academic accomplishments for those who meet HMS teaching requirements.
