About The Position

The Pain Management Clinic Supervisor is a health care professional who is responsible for creating a professional environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient centered care. The position will oversee daily clinic operations, support clinical staff, assigns work, maintains schedules, and assists the Operations Manager in the implementation of policies, workflows and processes in the Pain Management department.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant or LPN License preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education approved by hiring personnel.
  • Must be flexible & self-motivated. Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees clinical staff and administrative support staff in assigned area and assist department management in facilitating day to day activities and processes.
  • Supports manager through activities including staff development, evaluation of staff competencies, employee engagement, and coaching of staff as needed.
  • Responsible for training staff on clinical office protocols and techniques. When needed, provides urgent clinical coverage during patient visit with provider.
  • Plan and assign for appropriate staffing and resources, to include current and future staffing plans. Manage daily assignments and assists staff, as needed. Schedule, assign, supervise, guide, and instruct staff in providing high quality services.
  • Assists providers with patient education.
  • Systematically review, document and assesses new staffs’ clinical office protocols (i.e., vitals, documentation, productivity) and clinical competencies prior to probationary performance appraisal
  • Assists management with triaging, stocking supplies, reordering clinical supplies, etc., as needed.
  • Manages medication inventory or other agents, authorizations, and reconciliations.
  • Assists management with annual competencies and performance appraisals.
  • Assists management with improving workflows and processes.
  • Resolves patient/family issues.
  • Collaborates with Front desk team leader to supervise the daily check-in/out front desk activities; manage the no show, cancelations, and canceled encounters reports. Resolve report discrepancies on the applicable systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
