The Inpatient Rehabilitation at Kent Hospital, located in Warwick, RI, provides customized patient and family-focused rehabilitation treatment and education. This care emphasizes each patient's unique strengths, abilities, and preferences, with individualized therapy goals aimed at preparing patients for independent living. Kent Hospital collaborates with partners to ensure an uninterrupted treatment path from inpatient rehabilitation to home care and outpatient rehabilitation. The dedicated team helps patients of all ages with various injuries and conditions to become stronger, more independent, and more confident. The PAI Assistant role provides essential support to the PAI Coordinator and/or Program Director, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit – Patient Assessment Instrument for each rehabilitation inpatient. This involves gathering, entering, reviewing, and editing patient assessment data in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure accurate scoring of functional status and appropriate reflection of patient care needs. The role also supports interdisciplinary coordination, assists with CMS compliance and quality indicator monitoring, contributes to staff education related to PPS and FIMs/Quality Indicators, and maintains strict confidentiality of protected health information while supporting overall program benchmarks and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support to the PAI Coordinator and/or Program Director
