The PACS/RIS Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, management, and improvement of work processes in Diagnostic Imaging, related to the applications used to support Diagnostic Imaging operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB Demonstrates basic level knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment. Responsible for day-to-day operations and integrity of Imaging based applications & devices including image workflow, equipment and other related activities. Works closely with Imaging personnel to ensure the complete capture of DICOM digital image data into PACS as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling in all necessary applications in a timely manner. Provides system administration support to departmental leaders. Generates statistical reports on utilization, compliance, and other metrics Performs, as needed, charge capture reconciliation, requesting new procedure codes and ensuring correct charges are applied to accounts. Implements and conducts user training programs. Provides technical and problem-resolution support. First line application support to all end users including the diagnosis of system hardware, software, network and user faults. Serves as a liaison between users, vendors and IT. Ensures system efficiency and security Provides after hours, weekend, holidays and on-call support on a rotational basis to multiple facilities or provides on-call assistance as needed. Traveling to various THH locations in the Dallas area. Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM On-Call Duty Required Experience in Radiology or Cardiology department processes is preferred. This is not a remote position. PACS Administrator covering Radiology and CV Service Lines. Technical Experience: Imaging experience is preferred. A background in Radiology is a plus.
