Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation is partnering with Thomas Edison High School and seeks to hire a Patient Care Tech (CNA) Student Summer Extern. The Post-Acute Care Services Patient Care Tech summer externship program begins with an agreed-upon orientation date in June 2026 and runs full‑time for eight consecutive weeks. During the program, externs have the opportunity to develop key organizational, clinical, and problem‑solving skills, including: • Understanding how nurses set priorities, communicate with team members and other professionals, and structure their daily assignments. • Identifying the resources available to support nursing care. • Observing the roles of various care team members and how the interdisciplinary team collaborates. • Strengthening critical thinking abilities and practicing close observation in the clinical setting.
