About The Position

This is not a remote position. In order to be considered for this role, you must live within 200 miles of Corpus Christi, TX. Strong preference is for candidate to reside in Corpus Christi, TX. Candidate will need Maintain the quality and integrity of medical images within the PACS system. Ensure the daily functionality and operation of the PACS system, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to image storage and access. Configure various medical machines to communicate effectively with the PACS system, ensuring accurate assignment to respective patients. Collaborate with stakeholders in Radiology and related departments to identify and implement integrations and technologies that enhance workflow efficiency for the medical team. Participate in project management tasks, including the development of new radiology applications, integrations, and technologies. Assist in the rollout of new radiology equipment, working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless integration with the PACS system. Utilize HL7 and DICOM network experience to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues and message errors Perform other duties, as needed. Local travel to to support or respond to high-priority system downtime or equipment failure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a PACS Administrator role or related position
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows, how orders work including experience with RIS applications
  • Experience configuring different modalities to communicate with PACS system (X-rays, etc.)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting HL7 and DICOM network protocols
  • Experience with PowerScribe for reporting and voice recognition systems
  • Familiarity with Medical Imaging Systems, such as SecureView Hologic
  • Networking experience basic understanding of System Networks
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for running queries.
  • Experience working with vendors.
