About The Position

PACS Administrator The Role Southwoods Health is seeking a PACS Administrator to lead the management and optimization of our Imaging systems. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the RIS/PACS environment, ensuring high system uptime and seamless image availability for radiologists and referring physicians. This role bridges the gap between IT infrastructure and clinical excellence.

Requirements

• ARRT Certification is required.
• Valid Ohio state license.
• Strong technical knowledge of RIS/PACS systems, project coordination experience, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving within a healthcare IT environment.

Responsibilities

• System Administration: Maintain RIS/PACS systems, manage user access, and work with IT to ensure system uptime and effective disaster recovery protocols.
• Workflow Integration: Collaborate with the Clinical Director to integrate imaging equipment and EMR workflows, ensuring efficient data access for all technical personnel.
• Quality & Compliance: Perform workstation QC according to ACR guidelines and ensure all imaging processes meet OSHA, ODH, and TJC regulatory standards.
• Training & Support: Act as a subject matter expert by training staff on new software, mentoring new hires, and educating scheduling teams on system updates.
• Clinical Support: Maintain patient care standards by performing radiology exams as needed.
