About The Position

The PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of the enterprise PACS environment, with a preference for experience managing INFINITT PACS. This position ensures reliable, secure, and high-performing imaging systems integrated across clinical departments. The PACS Administrator plays a key role in supporting radiologists, optimizing imaging workflows and ensuring interoperability with EHR, RIS, and modalities as well as addressing any radiologists immediate support issues. The PACS Administrator will also support technologists, and clinical users in their use of the PACS systems. At elbow support of the Radiologists at SJH facilities will be provided as needed. The systems to be supported include the Infinitt PACS/VNA, mModal, Vitrea, VIZ, AIDOC, Laurel Bridge, Teleradiology and VRAD. Primarily on-site. On call is required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of PACS administration experience in a healthcare setting
  • Hands-on experience with INFINITT PACS preferred
  • Strong understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE, and PACS/RIS/EHR integration workflows
  • Familiarity with modality worklist, image routing, archiving, and retention policies
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with INFINITT VNA, and other cloud-based image storage solutions
  • CIIP certification (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) or equivalent
  • Proficient in Windows Server, networking, and storage systems
  • Experience in a multi-hospital or enterprise imaging environment
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for imaging systems
