Requirements

Have three (3) years experience doing work of a similar nature.
Be able to be cross trained to cover other assigned areas, as needed.
Have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content
Selection of appropriate type and size of container
Inserting enclosures in container
Using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage
Closing and sealing container
Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
Operates various types of packaging equipment
Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment
Must be able to respond to alarms and alerts
Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner
Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas.
Orient new contract technicians and assist with the evaluating performance.
