About The Position
About the Role: The Packer is responsible for ensuring finished products are properly packaged to customer specification. Working at the end of the production line packaging the tea that is being produced from the different machines. Ensures the product meets all aspects of the customer specifications to the highest possible quality standard. Checks for material quality defects in tea bags, cartons, envelopes, and overwrap. Checks for operational quality defects i.e. excess or incorrect gluing, machine damage to cartons or alignment issues. Checks all coding, labelling to ensure legible and correct. Adheres to all hygiene standards as of the company policy and ensure that areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift. Adheres to all Health and Safety guidelines, policies and procedures. Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Lead or Line Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum high school education or GED Equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per day.
- Routinely lift up to 25 pounds from waist to chest level.
