About The Position

About the Role: The Packer is responsible for ensuring finished products are properly packaged to customer specification. Operate production machines. Operate production machines. Pack unit cartons in corrugated boxes, pouches in corrugated boxes, tea bags in cartons, etc. Year-end inventory possible Perform quality control inspections, as required, per standards and product specifications. Train newly hired or temporarily hired Packers on operating procedures as authorized by plant management. Direct and optimize workflow of part-time and/or temporary Packers, as needed. Long periods of standing and occasional lifting of roughly 40lbs. Maintain clean and safe work environment Comply with plant rules and policies.

Requirements

• Prior production work experience of 1 year preferred
• Must work safely
• Must be able to read, white count, & possess basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds frequently & occasionally lift up to 50lbs with assistance
• May stand for entire work period
• Basic knowledge of weights and measures
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
