Requirements

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Licenses, Certificate of registration:  NDT Inspector exam must be passed each year to perform the job

Nice To Haves

  • Some manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Certified NDT FPI Level 1 who is ambitious and committed with the ability to pass a visual acuity test.
  • We are keen to hear from candidates who have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and a firm understanding of gauging and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive parts from the NDT after wheels pass inspection
  • Verify correct part number and quantities on Route sheet are correct.
  • Pack in box per correct quantities listed Per TI
  • Make labels per box for correct Part number, quantities per box , and correct Customer.
  • Stack on pallets per customer specs
  • Observes and complies with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations associated with this job.
  • Aids supervisor in identifying training needs.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
  • Conducts housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space.
  • Explain the intent and components of the Policy, including an overview of QS-9000 Quality Management Systems, procedures and work instructions associated with this job.
  • Explain the function of this job and how it helps to create quality parts and services.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in products, processes, and/or quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems in products, processes, and/or quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through established systems.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions to ensure successful resolutions.
  • Contain non-conformities and alter process until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected.
