About The Position

The Packer I is responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging finished products in the appropriate shipping containers and preparing them for shipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Basic math and computer data entry skills;
• Ability to use hand tools safety and to read a tape measure;
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently or a part of a team;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Weighs, packs, and labels completed items for UPS/Fed Ex ground shipping;
• Verifies shipping paperwork against contents, count/weight, product and shipping instructions and address;
• Properly uses packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, etc.;
• Stages packaged goods in proper area to be sent out to customers;
• Follows all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destination;
• Adheres to all company safety processes and procedures;
• Keeps working space clean and organized.
