Your role involves leading a team of packaging operators, ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products, and maintaining a focus on quality and safety. WHAT YOU WILL DO Works with the team to ensure production and filling quotas are met Communicates respectfully with all staff including leadership Maintains all products are always tracked accurately through METRC system Ensures all objects are completed compliantly with regards to regulations Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department as assigned Ensures staff manages their work efficiently and in accordance with departmental goals Assure that staff has equipment properly washed and sanitized Follow all site Safety requirements including use of PPE. Safety meetings as required. Uphold quality of finished product through employing attention to detail Train and assist staff with the operation of automated and semi-automated packaging and filling equipment Ensures compliance with all relevant CCC rules, including packaging and labeling. Develops and perform internal audits to monitor activities to ensure compliance with CCC regulations and internal SOPs. Ensure the packaging area is properly staffed and trained Responsible for highest packaged product quality Guide coworkers through professional development and write performance reviews Defend and build company culture Responsible for the morale of the packaging team The ideal candidate will be able to work with, help, guide, challenge and motivate other trim team members in order to create an efficient cohesive unit. The successful candidate will exhibit extraordinary organizational, tracking and communication skills. The successful candidate will manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product Must be able to follow basic instructions and immediately integrate feedback and directions into their work. Responsible for oversight of clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day. Communicate clearly with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique. Uses of logical judgment in adhering to established protocols in regard to product processing, keeping quality and goals in mind. Creating a positive team environment that produces high volume of packages while meeting and/or exceeding pre-determined goals. Assign daily tasks to packaging team members Perform hourly pulse checks with Packaging Agents Trains new hires and provides real-time feedback to experienced team members on areas of improvement Responsible for tracking time expectations and daily/weekly KPIs Assists the Packaging Manager with weekly production and personnel scheduling Position: Packaging Supervisor Version October 2023 Performs METRC tasks on finished batches and packages Records and diagnoses processing losses Runs METRC reports and coordinate cycle counts when necessary Communicates shortages to Packaging Manger and Sales tea Troubleshoots any packaging staging issues Provides assistance to Processing, Manufacturing as necessary

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience in cultivation, production, packaging, contract packaging, or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills
  • General computer ability
  • Must be able to follow basic instructions and immediately integrate feedback and directions into their work.
  • Responsible for oversight of clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day.
  • Communicate clearly with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique.
