About The Position

The Packaging Plant Operator role involves the operation and monitoring of packaging line machinery, conveyors, and weighing systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring products are filled, sealed, labeled, and palletized according to specifications, performing routine quality checks for weight, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards. The operator will also assist with loading and unloading materials or finished goods, report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues promptly, and perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and with a team.
  • Experience with Hamer automated packaging/bagging machines is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment in this role may be contingent upon the successful completion of certain pre-employment requirements, which could include a background check, drug screen, or driving record review, depending on the position

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor packaging line machinery, conveyors, and weighing systems.
  • Ensure products are filled, sealed, labeled, and palletized according to specifications.
  • Perform routine quality checks to verify weight, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials or finished goods as needed.
