About The Position

The Packaging Lead is responsible for overseeing daily Packaging operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe handling of products from packaging to stock. This role supports team productivity, maintains operational standards, and provides leadership, training, and guidance to warehouse team members. The Packaging Lead works closely with management to improve processes, maintain safety standards, and ensure all product packaging meets company expectations. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES You’ll deliver short and long term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution center experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move products according to warehouse requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop packaging team members through training, feedback, and daily guidance.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes safety, accountability, and productivity.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics, discuss challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Train and certify team members on material handling equipment as needed.
  • Operational Oversight Oversee packaging processes including packaging, labeling, and slotting.
  • Ensure all packaging operations meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.
  • Monitor employee productivity and workflow to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining departmental work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Safety & Compliance Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and management recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement Participate in operational development and problem-solving meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow, and team performance.
  • Assist with implementing operational improvements and corrective actions.
  • Additional Duties Occasionally perform warehouse crew member duties to support operational needs.
  • Work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as required to support business operations.
