About The Position

To manually finish printing ribbons to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets.

Requirements

• Required:  High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to enter production data into the computer.
• Production line experience in manufacturing.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner

Nice To Haves

• Packaging and assembly experience preferred

Responsibilities

• To perform on one of the “stations” to finish and package printing ribbons.  The stations are slitting and splicing, attaching take-up core, banding and packaging, and carton and box.  Packaging associates should move between each operation regularly.
• May lift materials and finished products up to 35 lb.  Slitting splicing and attaching take-up core requires sitting during the entire shift.  Banding and packaging, and carton and boxing require standing the entire shift.
• Help train employees and temporary employees.
• Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance activity).  Investigate and analyze the causes of target frustration.
• Facilitate internal communication and working relationships within areas of responsibility.
• Operate production machines and complete all required duties associated with the Machine Operator job description as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
