The Packaging Associate II role involves packing quality products into boxes for shipment, checking finished product for quality issues, packing plastic containers and lids of various sizes, grinding scrap material, handling boxed products (either by hand taping or using a tape machine), maintaining a clean work area, building and labeling boxes, grinding poor quality product, repacking products as needed, and cleaning machinery.

• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for packing quality product into boxes for shipment.
• Checks finished product for quality issues, as it comes off the conveyor.
• Packs plastic containers and lids of various sizes into sleeves & boxes (0 to less than 5 pounds).
• Grinding scrap material out of sleeves (0 to less than 5 pounds).
• Hand tape or send boxed product to the “tape machine”.
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean.
• Builds and labels boxes as needed.
• Grinds poor quality product.
• Re-packs product as needed.
• Cleans inside and outside of machinery.
• Other duties may be assigned.
