From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Packaging Associate based in Nampa, ID. The Packaging Associate is responsible for ensuring finished products meet quality standards and that product identification and labeling are accurate. This role supports the operational flow of packaging machinery, monitors product quality throughout the process, and ensures Lactalis standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
  • Packaging or production experience preferred.
  • Experience with general cleaning, chemical handling, or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • English language and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and production sanitation.
  • Ability to meet attendance expectations, including regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including following safety rules, using proper equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for at least 12 hours per day.
  • Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Packaging or production experience preferred.
  • Experience with general cleaning, chemical handling, or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Meet efficiency and production targets while maintaining high product quality.
  • Ensure cheese is properly sealed and placed in the correct containers.
  • Prepare packaging materials, boxes, and labels for daily production.
  • Load, operate, and monitor machines at designated speeds with minimal downtime.
  • Accurately complete CCP documentation and line-operation paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Communicate with team members to support efficient workflow.
  • Weigh cheese and verify product specifications.
  • Maintain open communication with line workers and supervisors.
  • Perform assigned sanitation duties.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process deviations to the supervisor.
  • Attend required departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure proper use, identification, mixing, and application of chemicals, including adherence to Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
