About The Position

The Pack & Ship Representative is a customer-facing, operational role responsible for delivering high-quality packing, shipping, and business support services at the retail counter while supporting broader Pack & Send operations. This position is designed as a growth role, with the expectation that the right candidate will develop into a lead, supervisory, or management position within the Pack & Send division. This role blends hands-on daily operations with increasing exposure to claims handling, inventory management, process improvement, and multi-location support, providing a clear pathway into leadership for motivated individuals.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills and comfort learning shipping and point-of-sale software
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Problem-solving mindset, especially when handling customer concerns
Ability to lift and move packages up to 40 lbs

Nice To Haves

Experience in shipping, logistics, retail, or business services
Familiarity with shipping software or carrier systems
Interest in leadership, operations, or management development
Experience supporting multiple locations or teams is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service at the front counter
Accurately pack and ship a wide variety of items using proper materials and procedures
Process shipping, receiving, printing, and retail transactions
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready workspace
Assist with daily opening and closing procedures
Follow all carrier policies and shipping regulations (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL)
Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and handling of packages
Identify and resolve shipping issues proactively
Assist with shipping claims and communicate effectively with carriers and customers
Monitor and maintain shipping, packing, and retail supply inventory
Assist with reordering supplies and vendor coordination
Ensure consistent service standards and branding
Provide operational or administrative support to other Pack & Send locations as needed
Learn Pack & Send operational standards and best practices
Gradually assume additional responsibilities related to workflow oversight and process improvement
Support training of new associates as skills develop
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and readiness for leadership growth
Partner with supervisors and leadership to improve efficiency and service delivery
