While working with patients of different ages and health related issues, addresses complex issues surrounding food and nutrition. Responsible for creating nutritional programs based on the individuals’ specific medical and health needs. Ensure the patient’s personal and cultural preferences are incorporated into a plan that will ultimately improve their overall health. Responsible for reinforcing the proposed plans through education of the patient and their families on how to properly follow the dietary guidelines. Provide follow up on patients’ nutritional progress, making adjustments to the dietary plan as needed.
