Job Description for PACE Center Receptionist Department: CGP PACE Position reports to: PACE Center Manager Position supervises: None FLSA Status: Non-exempt EEO Category: Administrative Support Workers Pay Grade: 3 NE Position Summary: Under the supervision of the PACE Center Manager, the PACE Center Receptionist greets and directs participants and visitors to the PACE Center and is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greets participants and visitors in a courteous, polite, and helpful manner and directs them to the appropriate location within the day center.
  • From the lobby, communicates with the day center staff regarding participant arrivals and departures.
  • Assures the receptionist work area is ready each day, ensuring all related activities are fully operational at the start of business.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures for the front lobby.
  • Ensures PACE participants are checked in and out of the day center using established protocols and obtaining/returning necessary information (i.e. lanyard, name badge, security bracelet.)
  • Works with the clinical staff to ensure participants needing visits upon arrival as well as those needing outside appointments have necessary documents and paperwork.
  • Signs vendors and visitors in and out using established procedures.
  • Assists with the call systems to alert staff when alarms are sounding to ensure the safety of participants and staff in the center.
  • Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures.
  • Provides superior customer service to participants, caregivers, visitors, vendors, and colleagues. Respects and maintains the dignity of participants and their caregivers.
  • Handles all telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner using proper phone etiquette and established protocols.
  • Ensures discretion and remains HIPAA compliant with all interactions.
  • May provide coverage to other administrative roles as needed.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
