With minimal supervision, the applicant should be expected to safely and independently setup and operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including electric discharge machines (EDM).

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
• Manual and CNC machining
• Capable of applying basic mathematical concepts including trigonometry and unit conversions to real-world applications in the shop.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• High School Diploma/GED required
• All positions require passing a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check.

Nice To Haves

• CAD/CAM experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs setup and operates CNC and manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, surface grinders and EDMs.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Use metrological instrumentation to inspect workmanship and meet tolerance requirements (i.e. Calipers, micrometers, comparator etc.)
• Performs regular cleaning and preventative care for manufacturing equipment
• Complies with all safety procedures, quality policies, and work instructions.
