About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to support a manufacturing environment requiring both manual and CNC machining capabilities. This role focuses on precision machining, setup, inspection, and mentoring, while meeting daily and weekly production goals. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC machines while maintaining high workmanship standards in a safety-sensitive role. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of experience programming and operating CNC and manual machines
Trained in CNC programming and operation, or equivalent experience
Experience using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
Basic computer skills
Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry
Attention to detail, critical thinking, and sound judgment
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to contribute positively to team success

Responsibilities

Program and operate manual and CNC machines to manufacture parts per drawings or instructions
Operate manual mill and lathe machines
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other measuring devices
Select correct tooling and set up machines accurately
Maintain a high level of workmanship and quality
Make offsets and edits without supervision
Meet daily and weekly production quotas
Maintain clean machines and work areas
Mentor lower-level CNC machinists and operators
Assist with R&D design reviews
Visualize and interpret blueprints and drawings
Set up and operate EDM machines
Perform all tasks required of a Safety Sensitive position
Perform other duties as assigned
