About The Position

Operate the P&E Rental Yard and Warehouse. This involves checking in, inspecting, cleaning, and servicing P&E rental equipment, as well as managing warehouse accessory inventory such as cables, connectors, and consumables. The role also includes preparing units for rental, staging them, assisting in loading, and connecting them to trucks. The Yard Worker is responsible for organizing the yard and warehouse, ensuring maximum availability of P&E rental equipment, and scheduling maintenance or repairs with the service department. Minor oil change services and cleaning are self-performed. The position also involves checking out equipment, ensuring proper accessories are present, providing documentation and training on equipment operation if needed, and assisting with trailer hook-ups. Managing warehouse rental accessory inventory and P&E storage areas, and providing back-up assistance to the rental coordinator are also part of the duties.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (or equivalent level of experience)
Basic knowledge of rental generator equipment operation, service, and accessories
Basic knowledge of rental air compressor operation, service, and accessories
Experience performing minor oil change service, minor repairs, and cleaning
Experience driving a forklift and moving large trailer mounted equipment
Demonstrated ability to interact tactfully with less knowledgeable customers (who may or may not be experienced with the equipment they are renting or buying).

Responsibilities

Ensure maximum availability of P&E rental equipment.
Check in returning P&E rental equipment.
Schedule any required maintenance or repairs with the service department.
Self-perform minor oil change services, cleaning, etc.
Stage rent ready P&E rental equipment in the rental yard.
Check out P&E rental equipment ensuring the proper accessories are present.
Provide required documentation, training on how to operate the equipment if needed.
Provide trailer hook up assistance if needed.
Manage the warehouse rental accessory inventory and P&E storage areas.
Provide back-up assistance to the rental coordinator as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
