About The Position

As a P&D Driver, you will be responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering freight locally, serving as the face of Southeastern Freight Lines to customers on a regular basis. This role involves operating a tractor-trailer in various conditions and handling vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. Key duties include conducting thorough vehicle inspections, managing the loading and unloading of cargo, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all transport documents, particularly when dealing with hazardous materials. The position requires skilled maneuvering in challenging environments, including heavy traffic and tight spaces. Drivers are expected to report any incidents or delays promptly and adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, always maintaining a focus on excellent customer service and professionalism. Requirements

Minimum of 6 months driving experience
Hold a High School Diploma or GED
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers
No automatic restrictions on CDL
At least 21 years old
Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English
Perform simple mathematical calculations
Handle receipts
Read maps and road signs
Maintain driving logs
Detailed knowledge of and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including those governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and the transportation of hazardous materials
Meet DOT physical qualifications
Pass alcohol and drug tests
