The Wholesale Solutions Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, B&A Insurance Solutions Sales. Position Compensation Range: $62,000.00 - $103,000.00 Pay Rate Type: Salary Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Primary Accountabilities Provide expertise to facilitate the placement of accounts with admitted and non-admitted carrier partners/brokers or facilitates out bound marketing of select accounts. Provide consultation on a broad variety of commercial and personal lines coverages. Provide an expertise of carrier partner options for all coverages in their territory for the field agents. Oversee a book of business within a geographic territory. Place profitable business. Analyze submissions and make decisions based on individual risk characteristics, exposure analysis, hazard recognition and control. Based on insurance company authority levels, accepts, declines or modifies new and renewal business to provide a profitable book of business. Use underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance with authority levels and state regulation. Review relevant underwriting information for risks including applications, inspections, loss control recommendations, loss history, credit checks, D&B reports. Prices business according to insurance company underwriting and pricing guidelines. Handle new and renewal placement process, including rating or submitting to insurance company. This process also involves negotiating with sales/service team or company. Additionally, it includes obtaining updated customer information and preparation of presentation and proposal/quotation materials. Work with internal staff or carriers to resolve questions and issues related to applications or policies issued by our vendors or to obtain guidance on more complex coverages. Assist agents and staff with carrier information and general processes. Provide field management and agents with vendor product information and support in their sales efforts by an internal sales support team. Maintain relationships with brokerage and alliance companies to maintain high customer service standards.
